Although Onyx’s backup routines are extremely robust, it is always a good policy to create your own external backup if at all possible. This can be done on a weekly basis (or daily if you prefer) and requires the following steps:

Stop the database server (right click it’s icon in the task bar and press ‘Exit’)

Use a burning program to take a full copy of the database (which is –in a default installation- located by typing "%ONYXV4_DATA_PATH%" in the Windows run dialog and is the ‘Data’ folder
